This week we’ve combined products from two of the leading lighting manufacturers in the world, Profoto and Aputure. It may seem like quite an unusual combination but we believe you will love the marriage.We’ve been able to take the new Aputure Max Spotlight and converted it to work with a Profoto Prohead powered by the current Pro 11 and or any of the older power packs from Profoto.
The combination gives you a tool that has been missing from the Profoto line since they discontinued their optical spotlight many years ago.
The spotlight projects a hard and directed light, making it the perfect go-to lighting tool for creating stage lighting effects, accent lights, or background projections.

The Spotlight MAX includes a 36° lens which can be manipulated to sharpen or diffuse the edges on shadows (optional lens choices include a 19° and 50° at an additional cost). An iris diaphragm can also be set to change the diameter of the spotlight. In addition, an integrated support for filters, gobos, and masks offers countless options for projecting different shapes and patterns onto a background or the subject itself.
We recommend the fan cooled ProHead powered by the Profoto Pro 11 2400w/s power pack or any of the older power packs. The versatile, 250 watt modeling light in the ProHead is all about giving you full range of creative motion, while still having the capability of producing large quantities of images at a high rate, thanks to its active, built-in fan (pack and head are additional).

– Aputure Diaphragm and Gobo holder
